My name is Rachel. Welcome to my slice of the world.

First and foremost, I am a child of God, failing and hopeful. I am the beloved of ‘Ratchet’ who is mostly referred to as Sweetie. I am a recent orphan (Mom 1999/2005 and Dad, August 2010) and have an amazing family full of siblings, nieces, nephews, my Des-mom, wonderful in-laws, a kitty Tigger, and a gaggle of queer people.

This blog is a way for me to continue to talk to the two people who were so very instrumental in making me, me. In addition, I have a bit of a thing about the communion of the saints—everyone from Saint Brigid of Kildare to Saint Amy and Saint Harvey Milk.

I blog here, and at The Sweet Bi and Bi. I live in Minneapolis, MN, one of the greatest places on earth (no, I am not kidding).

The header image is from Saint Bridget’s Well Cemetery Liscannor, County Clare, Ireland (one of my favorite places in the whole wide world). Its a little known gem while traveling the west coast of Ireland, well worth checking out if you are into holy sites.
